2.Measuring Method
| ● Hand-Held Refractometers <MASTER-3α, 3T, 3M, N-3E> |
1) Apply 2 or 3 drops of honey onto the prism.
Close the daylight plate to spread the sample evenly over the prism surface. |
2) Look through the eyepiece.
Read the boundary line where the blue and the white color meet. This is the Brix (%). |
*After measuring, wipe the prism with a wet tissue. |
| ● "Pocket" Refractometers <PAL-2, 3> |
1) Apply honey to the prism surface with a plastic spoon.
If air bubbles are present, stir with a plastic spoon to remove the bubbles. |
2) Press the "START" key.

*Wash with lukewarm water after measuring highly viscous samples. |
3.Brix of various honey samples
70 ~ 88%
4.Moisture measurement of water content in Honey
For honey, determining the water content is important. The following products are specifically designed for measuring the percent moisture in honey.
