Question5
The coloring of a sample liquid is so deep that the boundary line is not clear. What action can I take?
Answer
In models N-1E, N-2E, etc., the top of the boundary line is blue, and
the bottom is white. If the sample liquid is strongly colored, the
sample color will overlap with the blue or white color. This makes
it difficult to view the boundary line ( examples of sample liquids
might be soy sauce, concentrated grape juice, etc. ) . *In this
case, make a transparent plate of acrylic acid resin as shown in
the following figure. Place one drop ( approximately 1mm in diameter
) of sample on the center of the prism surface, and place the acrylic
acid resin plate over the sample drop. The sample spreads thinly
between the plate and the prism surface, and light is able to penetrate.
It becomes easy to view the boundary line. Furthermore, test piece
A ( In the N-3E, the test piece C can be used. ) which we sell can
be used for the above purpose, instead of acrylic acid resin plate.
