1. What is your daily activities at ATAGO?

My Role

Sales representative on the Latin America department. Prospect via telephone and email with potential and current ATAGO users to promote our instruments on different industries.
Assisting to our distributors and end users on L.A region for quotations, dispatching and questions about our models, traveling to different L.A. countries attending tradeshow and conducting product demonstration to clients on different industries. This is a great opportunity for that end users in Latin America to know more about our technology and how they can improve quality control process to always offer quality products to their customers. And for me on learn more about industries, production process, culture because each country has their own and of course open my mind when I offer our instruments because every customer can use our great products.

2. What is your memorable moments through your work, focus on your job, what do you pay attention the most in your job?

My Job

Be able to make that our customers know more about ATAGO new technology, quality and reliability on use. Many customers still think about ATAGO as analog refractometers and they are surprise when discover our new models and features like NFC.
I had the opportunity to attend to a wine trade show in Argentina where end users were amazed with ATAGO non-destructive technology on PAL-HIKARi2, this was a great opportunity for me to learn about wine industry and how ATAGO can improve quality process on industry.

3. How do you like about ATAGO? (office atmosphere, co-workers and environment)

Company

We have a small office so environment is great because it's make possible to know each other well, everybody is professional and with great sense of responsibility. I am really enjoying every day working with all of my co-workers because every day I am learning something new from all the departments.

1. Could you describe your job?

My Job

Since I am working as a Sales engineer in instrument manufacturing company my job is to provide solutions/assistance to different industries as per their application to get the work done. Providing technical help every time to my customer is key feature of my job profile. Of course, generating revenue for my company to drive smoothly is my duty. I am always available to guide, train my juniors. I enjoy my job as it consists of travel at least 4-5 days outside office to various locations within state with every time new people.

2. Please describe the most impressive thing you have ever had in your working experience.

Experience

It is a challenge for every sales person to pitch his very new product and convince to buy it in the price conscious market.

In India Sugar factories are located in very remote places, where reaching itself is a challenge due to bad infrastructure. Sugar factories tend to have low budget to buy new instruments. Until and unless you don't give successful demonstration along with customer list they will not go for new instruments. When I visited the first time a sugar factory in Maharastra state along with just launched RePo unit, I tried to turn their interest into inquiry. They were using cheap quality local make analog Polarimeter and brix meter and trust on result from it. It was challenge to convert their fear of instrument's performance into confidence. I had given them successful demo. I explain each and every technical things ,ease of operation and convenience of our instrument. The technical person then understood benefits of using digital (RePo) over analogue instrument. The then he arrange meeting with Plant head. After very hard negotiation I manage to close this order with two numbers. As a formality, getting actual Purchase Order then follow up for payment with different department like Purchase and Account was tough job for me. In all this process I struggle on every stage to get PO.

3. What do you mostly care in your daily work?

Daily Work

I always assume customer need as a emergency and accordingly try to give prompt reply or solution to the customer's mails, calls or query.
I concentrate on customer satisfaction as it will again convert in new business.

4. Could you describe company atmosphere of ATAGO?

Company

We have friendly atmosphere in our company.We celebrate each and every small win and achievement of our co-worker. We don't interfere in each other's assigned task unless and until he or she has ask for any help. We have given freedom to perform task as per our planning.

My Job

As I am working here as Manager –Sales and Technical service for Northern Part Of India, my main job is to expand Atago Sales in our territory and to provide best after sales service to the customer. Making strategy and doing implementation on sales expansion by taking reviews from every individual. I also keep watch on our competitors about their new models (means how to keep our self on upper hand with respect to our competitors.

2. Please describe the most impressive thing you have ever had in your working experience.

Experience

Although there were 5-6 no. of cases which were interested but this was recent. In 2016 one Government organization conducted a open tender for Refractometer ,where we were technically qualified but due to some bad practice and they rejected us while we gave successful demonstration of our product this happens in the month of Feb 2017,but as we all knows that every sales person should always open his ears and eyes while doing sales, we put strong objection in front of the higher authority where that takes action against the people involved in this conspiracy and it was retender, and I am glad to tell that this year we came over of all our competitors in March 2018 we won that tender for Refractometer by fighting hard.

3. What do you mostly care in your daily work?

Daily Work

I try to socialize with my colleagues no matters what department they handles, enhance my wisdom, and try to complete my set targets and at last always try to smile whatever the situation is.

4. Could you describe company atmosphere of ATAGO?

Company

It has been more then 8 years of working with Atago India, here the working atmosphere is very friendly. Our H.O shares all the relevant data and ideas with all of us, and as everybody i.e. branch office is free to share idea and we also share important information with all. Especially of our President Mr. R.R .Katti and Director Mr. Prasad Kadam, they guide us and appreciate our hard work, also make note of our mistakes by telling us what to do next time when we failed in respective job given by the organization. Here we are like family.

5. What do you learn from your co-workers?

Learn

As co-workers are very important part of our routine work, no person can always single handily complete the entire work, so here Team works comes into play. Some of my colleagues are very enthusiastic, committed and dedicated to the work, and some are hard working and capture the technical things quickly. Motivate the team to achieve the target on time. Analyse each and every enquiry and quote the right product. Solve the customer grievances if any. Experience

The Most Impressive Thing I ever had in ATAGO. We Received PAL Series Enquiry from one of 100+ years old Carbonated Drink Manufacturer Kalimark Based Southern Part of Chennai. At the Time of Demo Session We introduced our RX and shown Demo of above same.

Even though they don't have Budget at that time .Qc person waited for 5 months and Purchased our RX 5000I,Polax 2L and 6nos of PAL-3 .It gives More respect from Customer as ATAGO Employee.

Experience

This is my first case when I just start working.
For Café Amazon case, they need only a hand-held brix meter for a new factory.
I offer the bench-top refractometer (RX-5000i) to the customer as well.
After working so hard with our sale team finally we won the project.

Memorable Moments

My memorable moments, besides the acknowledgments of the work that I do, are when I can transmit and pass related knowledge in my area of action the people who work in my team, thus helping their professional growth, whether inside or outside the company. What we pay attention to are the changes that are necessary to the current market we work with, where we find tools or suggestions for continuous improvement.

Responsible in fault management of products. Analysis and summary of problems to take a report which can give a reference for product improvement.
Make a customer opinions collection about suggestion and comments of the product's design, technology, function, stability, packaging and transportation and so on.

Experience

One of the most particularly impressive about working in ATAGO is a Brazilian client was using PAL-coffee to measure coffee cherry that they found a large measurement error. He was so anxious to called me for a solution because the quality of the coffee bean relate to an very important business, concentration measurment is an urgent need. Adhering to the customer supreme service idea although that is 12:00AM in China's time, I explained the detail of cleaning and calibration steps and provide a perfect guide to complete measurement that made him with satisfaction and surprise. On the next day,He called me again with express heartfelt thanks! I feel recognized and approved with my job and made me fulfilled in this moment!

2. Please describe the most impressive thing you have ever had in your working experience.

Experience

On October 12, 2012, there is a CM-780N in Zhengzhou Foxconn was malfunctioned, the cutting fluid was added anti-foam to avoid the blister, but the measurement was still unstable, and the client request for return. By careful evaluation, the following solutions are presented to the client:
1. Add a small secondary buffer tank to the lower side of the equipment, keep soaking the instrument probe in the cutting fluid for 3 days in ATAGO CHINA'S Office, and find no oil film was appeared.
2. A portion of the oil film will appear with some types of cutting fluid, we suggest them to add a wiper cleaning device , and the unstable problem was solved finally.
In this case I realized that" All difficulties are also paper tigers"

I am a marketer in the Russian branch of ATAGO. I analyze the situation on the Russian market and promote ATAGO products through advertising and also, I administrate Russian ATAGO web-site and online-shop. In my spare time I'm engaged in creative activity: I make various banners and posters, materials for campaigns and also translate and adapt official ATAGO booklets for Russian customers.

2. Please describe the most impressive thing you have ever had in your working experience.

Experience

Once a time I had a conversation with client who wanted to start a clean life by creating own production of various products and drinks. Thanks to a successful dialogue, I managed to find about 12 hand-held devices for him including refractometers, salt-meters, acid-meters and so on. I really hope he will succeed!

My main goal as ATAGO worker is to provide communication between the producer and the consumer. Using different informational resources including digital campaigns and leaflets I acquaint potential customers with our products and analyzed their needs. My Job

Experience

The most impressive and unexpected situation I've had in my working experience happened on my first day. I had a call from customer who already bought polarimeter SAC-i and asked what is made for and how to use it. To tell the truth, I was a little bit confused for a second.

My main goal as an ATAGO worker is to help optimize manufacturing process in Russian companies and increase the quality of products with ATAGO devices.

Experience

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the hiring and onboarding of new employees.
Another thing I enjoy about HR is that it’s constantly growing and changing. From compliance with new laws and legislation to technology and employee expectations. It’s always challenging and never boring.

My Job

I am working at YOROZU department. “YOROZU” means all kind of things. I do procurement of lab equipment and materials, certifying ATAGO products, mixing and bottling reference solutions for sale and internal purpose, managing demo/loaner units we sent to customers, and research application of our products.

2. What are your memorable moments from work, focus on your job?

Experience

I get to visit ATAGO factory in Saitama and HQ in Tokyo. It was the most beautiful and clean facility I’ve ever been to. I was able to receive training from QA department. It was an eye-opening experience! I cannot wait to apply and share all the techniques I learned. I am very grateful for the opportunity ATAGO provided me.

My Role

1. I’m a Service Technician at ATAGO USA. My role is to ensure customers’ instruments are working properly. I am in charge of inspecting, calibrating, repairing, and providing feedback to customers on how to take care better care of their products in case an issue arises.

2. What are your memorable moments from work, focus on your job, and what do you pay attention the most in your job?

My Job

a. Most memorable moments are when customers send us emails and provide feedback mentioning how great of an experience it was working with us. As a service technician there’s always a huge sense of responsibility since customers are trusting me with their quality control instruments. It can be a lot of pressure at times, but it always makes me feel great when customers show their gratitude and their positive feelings towards the quality of service we provide.
I enjoy paying attention to the little details that would normally go unnoticed.

Company

a. Interaction between co-workers and managers. While some companies may have communication issues, here at ATAGO USA we can freely discuss business matters to obtain a prompt response or tackle an emerging issue. Everyone shares beneficial information that helps us grow together as a company and there’s transparency between departments.
The company also conducts a series of activities like BBQ’s, bowling, baseball games and happy hours throughout the year. Besides being a lot of fun, these activities are a great way to get to know each other and build a better working relationship.

1. What are your daily activities at ATAGO?

My Role

Once I come to the office I quickly review my emails from the day before and morning emails, if I have an email that needs to be responded right away I do it, later I start contacting customers to promote our instruments. Every day I contact my distributors to see if they are working in something new, this always help to close sale because you can offer manufacture support with end users, this will give more confidence to the end user when he have to make a decision.

For my day to day sales activities I focus in calling at least 40 customers a day, this will help you to plant seeds for future sales, this always will lead you to sales because maybe when you contact a customer they don’t need anything but in the future they will and they will remember you.

As a Latin America sales rep I contact customer for different countries, but my focus are Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Chile, one of my biggest challenges its use wisely my time to contact customer, as are in different time zones sometimes its hard to get in contact with them.

2. What are your memorable moments from work, focus on your job, and what do you pay attention the most in your job?

My Job

I would like to pay attention to details in my paper works every time we process. This includes what instruments customer purchased and trying to find out the reason because we can find out more chance to sell different models and new application from our customers.

My memorable moments from work is satisfaction I have when I hit my monthly sales target and feeling that I am contributing to the company. I always like to hit my target that makes me feel that all of my hard work that I put in my sales calling bear fruit.

Company

What I love about ATAGO is the atmosphere in the office. We all get along really well and we are like a small family. I also appreciate our company events because I feel the company shows us gratitude to us of our daily efforts in the office. My Role

My position is Admin Assistant at the Admin department and am mainly in charge of administrative tasks and accounting.My tasks range from creating documents to improving the office work environment.

My Job

There are many tasks in admin, and I think it is important to respond to each case in a flexible and timely manner. As Admin, I try to support other departments as much as possible.
As the department that manages the company's money a few mistakes can lead to great damage. Therefore, being thorough and accurate is important, and we work with the mindset of making every penny count towards our yearly target.

2. Please describe the most impressive thing you have ever had in your working experience.

 

The Most Impressive Thing I ever had in ATAGO, we demoed VISCO at one of the major private dairy at Salem, Tamilnadu. The samples were ice cream mix & chocolate mix. Also in contention were other competitors. There was a major technical debate among us. But due to our consistency in reading & lesser sample quantity with sophisticated technology we received order on same day.

3. What do you mostly care in your daily work?

Daily Work

Checking & replying customer’s enquiries, case to case periodic follow-up for & payment follow-up.
Also product promotion to new customers, fixing appointment for demo/discussions, service/installation visit for high end models & also attending government tenders during technical/commercial stages are part of my job.

4. Could you describe company atmosphere of ATAGO?

Company

I’m working for 5 years in ATAGO INDIA. Everyday I’m learning new applications & technology while discussing with customers (small to high). I sincerely thank our ATAGO INDIA Head office for giving me a wonderful opportunity and friendly support like a family. Here, there is no senior/junior bias. During our all India meeting our HO gathers all our views and perspectives in an equal way.

We are constantly learning new applications from all co-workers which are shared instantly in our Skype group. It’s really giving me a spiritual energy whenever my co-worker shares his daily experience.

1. Could you describe your job?

My Job

As a Sr. Engineer – Sales & Technical Service, I am looking after the Sales & Marketing in the Western India. My main responsibility is to explore new area, applications and to find out new potential customers and also expand our existing customer base. I also try to be in contact with our existing users to understand their changing needs and offer them suitable solutions. Towards technical side I offer online and offline technical support to our customers along with installation at customer sites. I handle certain Key customers to offer them quick and prompt service.

2. Please describe the most impressive thing you have ever had in your working experience.

Experience

It was in 2017; when we received a new inquiry from a Fertilizers manufacturer which was setting up there new plant in Gujarat. After much technical discussion I got opportunity to conduct a demo of RX-7000i at their site. As a general practice I asked about their product properties from which I understood that most of their samples were highly acidic in nature of 2.0 pH and I told them that our instruments sample stage is of Stainless steel which may get damaged to due high acidity of samples and can further damage the instrument. After getting the exact pH values of their multiple samples and discussion with our Technical team I proposed them that the sample stage can be coated with a specific material which will resist such high acidity of their samples to increase the instrument life but the instrument cost will be increased. During this time frame our competitor offered their regular model at lesser price trying to convince the end user that no coating is required. However, with my consistent efforts to make the customer understand the need of coated sample stage I was able to convince the customer to go for ATAGO with PTFE stage coating for longer life of instrument.

Daily Work

I always try to learn new things from my seniors and co-workers whether it is related to technical aspect or about sales and marketing tricks and tips. Seniors have always been an inspiration to me and I try to utilize their knowledge and experience which always helps me to upgrade my skills to perform by responsibilities more efficiently. As a part of one team I always try to support my teammates whenever they are in difficulty and also to their general queries about our products and application.

My Job

My position is Officer in Commercial & Administrative department at ATAGO INDIA HO office. My daily activities at ATAGO includes taking care of all commercial activities viz. invoice preparing, payment follow up, taxation, maintaining stock etc.

2. What are your memorable moments from work, focus on your job, and what do you pay attention the most in your job?

My memorable moments in ATAGO are to share the knowledge and my work experience with the people working in my team. I am more focused during preparing government tenders, which are extremely tedious so that we can beat our competitors and get the order.

My memorable moments are when we get selected in technical bid in a tender. It shows my attention to detail in document preparation. Several times, our rivals get rejected due to technical incompetence. It gives me great pride in saying that ATAGO’s bids never get rejected in technical stages.

My Role

Responsible for 3 states namely Telangana, Andhra Pradesh & ODISHA in INDIA focusing on both sales & service. Generating and targeting new sales enquiries, attending tradeshows, regular customer visits, arranging demonstrations at customer place & finalizing purchase orders. At the same time maintaining good relation with existing customers by providing on time service, installations, training, documentation & calibration support.

2. Please describe the most impressive thing you have ever had in your working experience.

Experience

The most impressive thing which I had with Inline Brix monitor (CM-800Alpha). I visited one of the most reputed company’s R&D plant based in HYDERABAD where they were using Brix Hydrometer. I understood their difficulty in taking readings in short period with good accuracy. Then I approached with our Inline Brix monitor (CM-800Alpha), they were impressed with our model and accuracy. Started with 1no’, within span of two years, they purchased 8no’s of CM-800Alpha for a single plant and made their R&D plant with complete automation by making our instrument as a heart of their whole process.

Experience

There are many impressive things but most remembered is whenever an ATAGO’s product has won over the competitor’s one. I have several times recommended cross-selling ATAGO Products to many of our key clients. Because of my experience of over 20 years, many customers talk to me when they switch companies. I help close many clients by directing them to the sales team.

I am dedicated and super passionate about my work. I always try to be perfect in my work and try to learn new things from our respected President Mr. R.R. Katti. I am with ATAGO INDIA before the formation (year 2005) of the company, almost over 22 years!!! I can say I am the first employee of ATAGO INDIA. This itself is self-explanatory about the atmosphere of ATAGO INDIA as a family & team. We do celebrate our regional traditional festivals in office. We also enjoy ATAGO INDIA’s yearly picnic with our families since year 2005. I am very proud to be part of ATAGO (the Numero Uno Co. in instrumentation field).

I am the development Director. I can perform new tasks every day. First of all, I try to control that all business processes are in the right direction. ATAGO Russia is a young company that is only at the beginning of its journey. Every year, every month and every day we analyse and look for a convenient and effective way to organize our work, create such conditions that the team works efficiently, but at the same time with pleasure. Every day I try to pay attention to the inner working atmosphere, make sure everyone is busy and see the direction of their work. Also, I am often responsible for our communication with main office. It is always very interesting, and the main thing is informative. The experience of colleagues from other companies helps to look at the situation from the other side.

It’s amazing how such a big firm like ATAGO is able to combine the scale and willingness of all employees around the world to share their experiences. In my memory, there is one our existing customer, He changed to buy the instrument from our competitor. Anyway I still always support them our best including help them resolve our broken existing instrument, training their staff to operate and do maintenance and find the solution to solve the problem about their application. Finally they believe in our instrument and our service. They came back to be our royalty customer and continue buying our instrument. I always pay attention to our customers are satisfied with the products and services of our company.
